Job summary

St. Rose High School in Belmar, New Jersey is seeking a passionate and innovative Engineering Teacher to join our faculty in a Catholic, college‑prep environment.

This full‑time, contracted role teaches engineering and STEM coursework to grades 9–12, designs hands‑on lessons that promote inquiry and design thinking, and mentors students pursuing engineering careers while supporting the school’s mission. Collaboration with colleagues to expand PLTW or related curricula is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology Education, STEM Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience teaching engineering or STEM at the high school level preferred.
• Familiarity with Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Teach engineering and STEM related coursework to students in grades 9 through 12
• Design engaging, hands on learning experiences that promote inquiry, design thinking, and real world application
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and innovation
• Support the continued development and growth of St. Rose High School's engineering and STEM programming
• Incorporate project based learning and interdisciplinary approaches when appropriate
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students interested in pursuing engineering or STEM related careers
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to advance the mission of the school and support student success

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology Education, STEM Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

Prior Teaching Experience At The High School Level Preferred

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to inspire and engage students through creative instruction and hands on learning
• Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of St. Rose High School

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching engineering curriculum or STEM related courses
