KIPP New Jersey in Newark is seeking a High School Lead Teacher to inspire and guide students across grades 9-12. You will design lessons, use data to drive instruction, engage families, and contribute to a school-wide culture of achievement.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 to $103,000 with additional performance pay up to $7,000 annually, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, pension, and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Create, internalize, modify and prepare lesson plans in alignment with the academic curriculum with grade-level teams.
• Use data to responsively teach to mastery of skills.
• Engage students, families and colleagues to support student progress.
• Uphold classroom management techniques and establish a firm classroom foundation.
• Assist with diagnostic and progress monitoring testing across the school.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching to meet objectives.
• Update performance trackers and use data to inform lessons.
• Participate in school, departmental and parent meetings.
• Participate in school events and activities.
