Qualifications

• Minimum Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of general office equipment
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to operate computer using a variety of basic applications
• Minimum Experience: One (1) year of accounting/secretarial experience or other equivalent experience or background

Responsibilities

• Receive all moneys from teachers for student fees, club dues, fund raisers, etc. and issue receipts for such funds, keep accurate record of funds received and make appropriate deposit slips
• Make deposits in appropriate fund accounts following district procedures in order to maintain accurate and current records
• Process Activity Account requests for checks/funds, payment of invoices, or issuance of purchase orders with appropriate authorization and following district procedures; maintain accurate backup files
• Maintain official records of club sponsors, club officers, club rosters, and all approved fund-raisers
• Report all donations, whether monetary or non-monetary, to Assistant Superintendent of Support Services following district procedures
• Manage funds and/or bookkeeping tasks associated with student/teacher parking, vending machines, tickets, change, stamps, and other campus functions/activities
• Prepare monthly sales tax reports and other reports as required
• Assist students, teachers, and parents as needed
• Remain informed of and comply with state, district, and local policies and regulations concerning job functions
