Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, education, career and technical education, or related field.
• Experience in educational counseling or career coaching preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAFSA and scholarship processes.
• Ability to engage high school students and families.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a community college academic and career advisor for high school students.
• Assist students with college applications and financial aid processes.
• Conduct career exploration activities in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings.
• Deliver workshops and presentations to prepare students for postsecondary success.
• Maintain reporting in the VCCS system and provide regular updates to college.
• Work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
