Gehlen Catholic seeks a varsity golf coach to oversee the golf program, teach fundamentals, and instill the rules, etiquette, and ethics of the game. The role emphasizes developing players within a faith-centered environment.

The coach will train students, schedule meets with the Athletic Director, ensure eligibility, and communicate with families, while upholding the school’s Catholic values and sportsmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Iowa coaching certification or license.
• Complete Virtus training.
• Completed background checks.
• CPR-trained preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of the game of golf from past playing or coaching experience.

Primary Purpose

The varsity golf coach is responsible for the oversight of the golf program at Gehlen Catholic. They are responsible for teaching the fundamentals of the game of golf, and show the players not only how to play, but to adhere to the rules, regulations, and ethics of golf.

Essential Functions

• Train and supervise students in the use of:

• Work with the Athletic Director closely on scheduling and transportation.
