Job summary

Eastern Greene High School seeks a dedicated Boys' Golf Head Coach to lead our high school program. The head coach organizes instruction, practice planning, team development, and competition strategy while modeling sportsmanship and character in student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Head coaching experience preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of golf rules, techniques, and strategy.
• Ability to teach and develop athletes of all skill levels.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to the values of education-based athletics.
• Must meet coaching certification requirements as set by the IHSAA and Eastern Greene Schools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct effective practices and match strategies.
• Supervise student-athletes at all times during team activities.
• Ensure proper care and inventory of all team equipment and uniforms.
• Support student-athletes academically and promote eligibility standards.
• Adhere to all IHSAA rules, school district policies, and athletic department guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with players, families, and school staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
