Job summary

Burlington Township School District is seeking a dedicated High School Baseball Assistant Coach to lead and mentor student-athletes at Burlington Township High School. Responsibilities include planning practices, developing strategies, and cultivating discipline and teamwork both on and off the field.

The ideal candidate will hold valid NJDOE certification or substitutes credential, with prior high school coaching experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey certification or Substitute Teacher certificate.
• High school coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals and training methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability after school hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute all aspects of the program.
• Develop fundamentals, techniques, and game strategies with players and groups.
• Collaborate with staff to create practices, drills, and conditioning plans.
• Mentor student athletes, promoting sportsmanship and team culture.
• Attend practices, games, and department meetings as required by the head coach.
• Assist in scouting opponents and preparing game plans.
