Job summary

Burlington Township School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic coach to lead and mentor student-athletes at Burlington Township High School. The coach will plan and conduct practices, develop game strategies, and provide guidance to help athletes improve skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The ideal candidate will have valid New Jersey teacher or substitute certification, prior high school coaching experience, and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey teaching or substitute certification.
• Previous high school coaching experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of softball techniques and training methods.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work after-school hours and weekends.
• Must meet New Jersey residency requirements.
• Background check and US citizenship or legal residency status required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct all program activities.
• Develop skills, techniques, and game strategies for players or groups.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to create practice plans and conditioning programs.
• Mentor student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Attend practices, games, meetings, and events as required.
• Scout opponents, analyze game film, and prepare game plans.
• Uphold district policies and foster an inclusive team culture.
• Maintain player attendance records and performance data.
