Job summary

Dobson High School in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Audio Visual Specialist to manage the senior high school AV department, ensuring delivery, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV equipment, media, and materials. You will train and supervise students operating office and AV equipment.

The role emphasizes responsibility in inventory, scheduling, and supporting classroom and event needs, with a path to develop student skills and often extended event hours.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Experience with audio visual equipment, standard office machines and computers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers and district personnel.

Responsibilities

• Order and schedule films and rental materials for classroom use; order audio visual supplies and new non-book materials.
• Train and supervise students in the operation of various office machines and AV equipment; test and grade students.
• Provide audio visual services (laminating, dry mounting, sign making, video taping, etc).
• Circulate software and hardware to faculty and students.
• Maintain inventory and location of school’s computer and audio visual equipment.
• Regular and on-time attendance required.
• Perform other related duties to support the work unit.
