Job summary

Intune Physical Therapy is hiring an athletic trainer to work at a Johnston County high school, launching the athletic training program in partnership with EPIC PT. The ATC will follow the signed physician protocol and comply with state and national requirements, with duties including coverage at home events and proper documentation.

The role requires flexible hours, adherence to HIPAA and OSHA standards, and coordination with school athletic directors and EPIC Physical Therapy leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a CAATE-accredited college or university.
• Maintain current state licensure in North Carolina.
• Maintain CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care certification.
• Experience in middle/high school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage athletic training coverage for high school athletics (and occasional middle school).
• Develop sport- and venue-specific conditioning and return-to-sport protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation for treatments and injuries; ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate annual required athletic physicals and IMPACT testing; supervise athlete clearance.
