Job summary
The Dysart Unified School District is seeking a certified athletic trainer to support athletic programs and ensure athlete safety. Working under licensed physician direction, you will serve as the medical link among athletes, parents, and coaching staff, focusing on prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
Responsibilities include pre-participation health screenings, injury management planning, and collaboration with the team physician for year-round coverage at home events
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved program of Athletic Training and must have, or be eligible for state licensure.
- Maintain CPR and AED certification.
- National Athletic Trainer Certification.
- Possess and maintain AZ IVP FPCC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Health assessments and pre-participation screening for athletes.
- Review athletes records and physicals for conditions needing attention.
- Monitor environmental conditions, equipment, and protective devices.
- Apply functional taping, wrapping, bracing and supports.
- Develop injury management and rehabilitation plans.
- Coordinate medical coverage with the team physician and oversee emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and report injuries to coaches.
