Job summary

Dysart Unified School District in Surprise, AZ is seeking a certified athletic trainer to support district-wide athletic programs. The ATC will work with a healthcare team to prevent and manage injuries, assess athletes, and coordinate care with physicians.

The role requires active AT certification, state licensure eligibility, and CPR/AED. The trainer will cover home events and assist in rehabilitation planning within a busy high school athletics program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved program in Athletic Training with eligibility for state licensure.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (CPR/AED) certification and state licensure readiness.
• Hold or be eligible for National AT Certification.
• Demonstrate knowledge of athletic injury prevention and management protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive athletic training services and injury management for district athletes.
• Assess injuries, coordinate with physicians, and develop rehabilitation plans.
• Maintain medical records and communicate with parents, coaches, and staff.
• Cover home events and away varsity games as needed and supervise student trainers.
