Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to support East Jackson High School student-athletes. You will develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive health care program, acting as liaison between the school and Henry Ford Health.

The role requires a strong communicator who can work independently within a collaborative team. Eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus; experience with school-based athletics is valued.

Qualifications

• Board of Certification (ATC) and Michigan state licensure (or eligibility).
• Post-professional master’s degree in athletic training or related field is preferred, with two years of experience.
• Strong ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of NCAA, NJCAA, and MHSAA policies; supports community outreach programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with applicable policies and standards.
• Collaborate with coaches, administrators, and health care professionals to support athlete well‑being.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the school’s athletic department and Henry Ford Health.
