Meridian Charter Schools is seeking a dynamic HS Assistant Principal in Chicago to partner with the Principal on instructional leadership and campus operations. The role emphasizes equity, academic outcomes, and a strong data-driven approach to improving student learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Professional Education License (PEL) and ISBE Principal Endorsement.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in an educational setting; bilingual Spanish and English strongly preferred.
• Leadership skills include managing and developing diverse teams; strategic vision.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities; commitment to equity and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in a campus leadership team to implement school-wide initiatives.
• Support the Principal in daily operations and instructional priorities.
• Coach and evaluate staff; provide professional development.
• Manage the master schedule, budget, and campus policies under Principal supervision.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; uphold employee handbook standards.
• Lead equity and culturally responsive practices across the campus.
• Collaborate with school leaders to improve student outcomes and engagement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with families and community partners.
• Report progress and outcomes to the Principal; drive data-driven improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
