Job summary

Meridian Charter Schools in Chicago, IL is seeking a full-time HS Assistant Principal to partner with the Principal in driving academic outcomes and equity across the campus. The role requires travel to campuses and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will lead instructional initiatives, supervise staff, and manage operations to ensure safe, inclusive, and high-quality education for all students. A valid PEL and ISBE Principal Endorsement are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Professional Education License (PEL) and ISBE Principal Endorsement.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Education (or related field) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in an educational setting; bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute a comprehensive vision for the school campus in alignment with Meridian Charter Schools’ mission and values.
• Oversee student conduct and discipline; manage crisis and conflict as directed by the Principal.
• Coach, evaluate, and develop staff while supporting day-to-day operations and school improvement.
