Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking an ASL Interpreter to provide American Sign Language interpretation for a high school student during regular academic programming in New Oxford, PA.

You will facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers to support full participation, interpretation of classroom instruction, and confidentiality. Pennsylvania requirements apply for educational interpreters (EIPA 3.5+ or eligibility).

Qualifications

• Qualified ASL interpreter meeting Pennsylvania requirements for educational interpreters; EIPA score of 3.5 or higher or eligibility under the Pennsylvania Sign Language Interpreter and Transliterator Registration Act
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, with the ability to accurately interpret academic instruction and classroom communication
• Experience providing ASL interpretation in a K–12 or high school educational setting preferred
