Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 in Wayzata, MN, seeks a High School After-School Independent Study/Credit Recovery Teacher for 10/19/26 to 3/25/27. Hours approx 2–3 days per week, 1 to 1.5 hours per day, with WEA Teacher Targeted Services pay.

Responsibilities include designing and delivering online instruction for a diverse learner population, building positive relationships with students, families, and staff, and using current technology to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Valid MN teaching license in Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, or acceptable equivalents.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

Position Description:
Candidates selected to fill the role ofHigh School After-School Independent Study/Credit Recovery Teacher. This will be achieved through the design and delivery of online-based instruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community.
Qualifications:

• Must have a valid MN License in one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies. PhyEdor Teacher/Coordinator Work-Based Learning.
• Ideal candidates should have experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners.
• Must have strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Must have the ability to build positive working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Must be proficient with current technology used to support communication, academics, and student progress monitoring.
