Job summary

Memphis Business Academy High School seeks a dedicated teacher to advance its mission through standards-aligned curriculum and rigorous instruction. Reporting to the Principal, you will develop and execute curriculum maps, unit plans, and assessments while leveraging feedback to raise student performance.

You will collaborate with academic teams, participate in professional development, and provide targeted tutoring to students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
• TN license eligibility or active Tennessee Professional Educator License preferred.
• Content area certification preferred; Masters degree preferred.
• Experience in urban education and ability to improve student outcomes appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute standards-aligned curriculum with maps, units, and lessons.
• Create assessments and track student performance data for improvement.
• Provide engaging, rigorous instruction in whole-class and small groups.
• Collaborate in PLCs, participate in professional development, and meet deadlines.
• Support and tutor students as needed and monitor progress travelers.
