Job summary

Illinois School District U-46 in Illinois seeks an HS Interventionist to provide targeted academic support to students assigned to intervention. The interventionist works directly with students to increase engagement, lesson completion, and academic growth while monitoring progress toward individualized learning goals.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers, MTSS teams, and counselors to connect learning needs with appropriate supports.

Qualifications

• PEL required for Illinois
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English written/verbal preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitors student participation, engagement, lesson completion, time on task, pass rates, and academic progress using diagnostic data.
• Provides targeted academic support during designated intervention periods to address individual skill needs.
• Supports students in setting goals, developing independence and persistence, and taking ownership of their academic growth.
• Regularly reviews student progress, identifies barriers to participation or completion, and develops interventions and strategies.
• Maintains accurate records of student participation, progress, interventions, and outcomes and communicates relevant information to staff.
• Collaborates with classroom teachers, intervention teams, and MTSS teams to identify needs and arrange support.
• Supports consistent expectations and uses progress-monitoring data to evaluate interventions.

Education

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

Bachelor's degree in education or related field

Bilingual Spanish/English
