Job summary

Ames Community School District is seeking a dedicated facilities team member to support a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The schedule runs 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a 255-day year. Duties include cleaning assigned areas, preparing the building for events, building security, and using work orders and communications technology.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and move items as needed.

WorkSchedule

7:30am-4:00pm, Monday - Friday; 255 day work agreement (year round)

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Routinely cleans assigned rooms in the school and athletic areas.
• Helps prepare the building for evening and weekend activities.
• Building lock-up/security.
• Uses computers to input work orders, email, timesheet/absences
• Uses two-way radio and cell phone to communicate with other staff and community members

Qualifications

• Frequent lifting, bending, carrying and moving items up to 50 lbs. such as furniture, trash, and bags of ice melt, snow removal.
• Valid driver's license.
• Effectivelycommunicates both written and verbal

Compensation

$17.00 per hour
