Job summary

High Rocks-Monroe County Coalition for Children and Families seeks volunteers to support community outreach, family services, and youth tutoring in Monroe County, WV. The program aims to connect families with resources and provide education and prevention activities.

Volunteers will assist with referrals, distribute goods, recruit peers, and lead weekly K-12 tutoring sessions for six weeks, contributing to a broader mission of child and family well-being.

Qualifications

• Assist families with referrals to homelessness, food insecurity, and other services.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers and support outreach events.
• Lead after-school tutoring sessions for K-12 students weekly.

The Monroe County Coalition for Children and Families works to facilitate and establish a system of prevention, education, and early intervention activities aimed at enabling families and children to reach their fullest potential through community based, planning activities for Monroe County and such other activities as described and established in accordance with 49-6C-2 of the West Virginia Code.

Member Duties :

• Participate in food and clothing distribution to community members.
• They will recruit and coordinate volunteers and serve as support on all outreach events offered.
