Job summary
AmeriCorps State / National program, High Rocks-Greenbrier Community School, Hillsboro, WV, seeks dedicated volunteers for a full-time service term 09/16/2026–08/31/2027. Position focuses on mentoring K-5 students, coordinating community volunteers, and promoting wellness and lifelong learning.
Emphasis on leadership, recruitment, and strong communication. The program offers a living allowance, health coverage, childcare assistance if eligible, an education award upon completion, and training
Qualifications
- Minimum age 18; able to meet program requirements.
- Education level: Some college or currently pursuing.
- Full-time availability during program dates (09/16/2026–08/31/2027).
Responsibilities
- Recruit and coordinate the activities of community volunteers for school programs.
- Serve as mentors and positive role models to K-5 students.
- Engage with students to promote wellness and healthy choices and lifestyle.
- Engage with students to promote lifetime engagement with learning.
