Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Sonographer to perform ultrasound imaging and guidance for procedures in a fast-paced radiology department. The role involves reviewing orders and patient history to ensure accurate exams, and transferring imaging data to PACS for physician interpretation.

The ideal candidate will hold RDMS credentials (AB or OB/GYN) and an ARDMS certification, with BLS. On-site position with opportunities to educate students and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS-AB) or RDMS-OB/GYN with ARDMS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex sonography imaging following protocols.
• Reviews orders and patient history to ensure accurate exams.
• Transfers and verifies image data in PACS for MFM provider interpretation.
• Assists in instruction of students and new staff as necessary.
