About this position:

The High-Risk patient care and outreach nurse navigator provides complex obstetric patients with specialized education, patient advocacy, follow-up, support, and care coordination throughout pregnancy and after discharge. This role works closely with community obstetricians and perinatologists aligned with Sibley Memorial Hospital to connect with high-risk mothers early in pregnancy and serve as a guide and resource throughout their care journey. The nurse navigator acts as the primary contact for the patient, coordinating care with obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine, neonatology, and relevant subspecialties.

What you will need:

  • Minimum nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school
  • RN license in the District of Columbia
  • At least two years’ nursing experience in Women’s & Infants (W&I); Nurse Navigator experience may substitute for W&I experience
  • At least two years of inpatient acute care experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Salary Range: Minimum $46.18 per hour - Maximum $71.58 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and role scope.
