Job summary

OSF Cancer Institute in Peoria, IL seeks an experienced advanced practice clinician to provide outpatient care and hereditary cancer risk evaluations.

You will order and interpret genetic testing, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and counsel patients on risk-reduction and screening guidelines. The role includes participation in tumor boards and delivering compassionate oncology care.

Qualifications

• Licensed to provide advanced practice nursing services or as a physician assistant in Illinois.
• DEA license to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Eligible to participate in OSF programs for malpractice coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient care and hereditary cancer risk evaluations.
• Order, interpret, and communicate genetic testing results and related diagnostics.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop personalized screening and treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on hereditary cancer syndromes and screening guidelines.
• Participate in oncology and genetics clinics, tumor boards, and specialty programs.
• Provide counseling and follow-up for high-risk patients.
• Coordinate referrals across specialties to support comprehensive management.
• Support quality, safety, and access initiatives while delivering compassionate care.
• Adhere to 8-hour shifts, 8am–4:30pm, 40 hours per week.
