Job description

Role: Provides specialized nursing care in a high-risk Cardiology Stepdown unit, focusing on patients with cardiac illnesses such as CAD, HTN, arrhythmias, heart failure, and valve disease.

Responsibilities

Conducts assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, educates patients and families on managing their conditions, and promotes safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs, ensuring clear communication across care teams.

Qualifications & Skills

Requires an RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred. No prior experience needed, but less than 2 years experience is preferred. Must hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and EKG. Demonstrates strong patient-centered care, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
