Job summary

Pavarini McGovern, part of the STO Building Group, seeks a Project Executive to lead high-rise construction delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction in New York. You will oversee preconstruction through closeout, manage owners and stakeholders, and drive risk management across complex developments.

The role demands executive-level leadership, deep market knowledge, and a track record of delivering $100M+ projects in urban settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Minimum 7–10 years leading large-scale high-rise projects valued at $100M+.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for multiple high-rise construction projects or a major flagship development.
• Maintain awareness of project status, schedule milestones, cost performance, quality, and risk.
• Lead project teams including PMs, supers, engineers, estimators, and support staff.
• Manage client relationships and lead executive-level client meetings and presentations.
• Oversee preconstruction, procurement, budgeting, and planning activities.
• Drive project profitability, cash flow, forecasting, and cost analyses.
• Direct change order pricing, negotiation, and risk management.
• Ensure safety programs and project records are maintained.
• Lead business development and market leadership activities.
• Oversee project closeout, warranties, and lessons learned.
• Support recruitment and mentoring of construction management professionals.
