Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Los Angeles, CA to maintain, repair, and operate high-rise building systems for a safe and efficient environment. The role offers an hourly pay of $30 and a Monday–Friday shift from 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, timely response to tenant requests, preventive inspections, and emergency repairs as needed. Requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other building areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Respond to work orders and tenant maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and document findings.
• Troubleshoot and repair building equipment and common area systems.
• Replace lighting, fixtures, filters, belts, and other building components as needed.
• Assist with emergency repairs and after-hours maintenance when required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
