Job summary

UNFI, the leading distributor of conventional, natural, organic and specialty products in the United States and Canada, is hiring a Lift Operator to join our Distribution team. You will report to the shipping office, inspect the lift, replenish slots, and ensure accurate inventory and pallet handling.

Qualifications

• Understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse.
• Ability to apply common sense to simple instructions and standard situations.
• Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division including money and units.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the shipping office at the start of shift for daily assignment.
• Inspects assigned lift and completes vehicle inspection sheet.
• Replenishes pick slots using the view request screen; uses manual replenish if needed.
• Maintains correct counts and logs discrepancies in inventory.
• Verifies correct product is placed in the correct pick location.
• Removes empty pallets; stages pallets in the pallet area.
• Operates the lift safely and parks/recharges at shift end.
