Job summary

Select Source International is seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician for on-site operations in Phoenix, AZ. You will ensure proper transfer of materials, maintain safety protocols, perform rounds, and support on-site HS&E standards while coordinating with management.

You will supervise on-site activities in absence of management, issue hazard permits where required, and help train junior technicians, contributing to safe and compliant site operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills essential.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience coordinating and supervising technicians.
• Knowledge of reporting procedures: product acceptance, tank fill, inventory, monitoring, safety parameters.
• Ability to train junior technicians.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude and safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate hazardous waste handling procedures on site.
• Lead emergency response activities when needed.
• Perform daily rounds and document readings and safety checks.
• Coordinate material handling and waste minimization tasks.
• Prepare site reports and ensure compliance with HS&E standards.
• Assist in training TGCM contractors and junior staff.
