Job summary

GSG Protective Services in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a High Profile Security Officer (Armed) to protect public facilities. The role requires visible professionalism, strong communication, and readiness to de-escalate and respond to emergencies in busy parks, libraries, and public spaces.

Applicants must have 5+ years of armed security experience, a valid California BSIS Guard Card with Exposed Firearm Permit, and a track record of excellent customer service and report-writing.

Responsibilities

• Be the visible, trusted presence at Los Angeles' busiest parks, libraries, and public facilities
• Engage with the community by greeting patrons, answering questions, and helping people feel welcome
• De-escalate first. Use communication and sound judgment to resolve conflicts calmly and safely
• Patrol and observe on foot and by vehicle, identifying risks before they become incidents
• Respond with confidence to emergencies, disturbances, and calls for assistance
• Partner with others, including facility staff, city personnel, and law enforcement
• Document clearly through accurate incident reports and daily activity logs

What You'll Do

What Sets You Apart

• Military or law enforcement training
• Experience at parks, libraries, transit, or other high-traffic public sites
• Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages common in LA communities)
• CPR/First Aid or crisis intervention certification
