Job summary

Onesubsea is seeking a High Pressure Hydraulics System Engineer to design, build, test, and improve complex industrial machinery. You will split time between design work and hands-on assembly, testing, and validation in the shop, contributing mechanical expertise on projects led by others.

The role emphasizes experience with high-temperature, high-pressure systems and a collaborative engineering environment, with close interaction across manufacturing functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with PTC Creo and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic components, circuits, valves, pumps, cylinders, and system diagnostics.
• Solid understanding of material properties, mechanical strength, stress analysis, and engineering design principles.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hydraulic and mechanical systems for industrial equipment.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using PTC Creo and AutoCAD.
• Perform mechanical analysis, including component sizing, material selection, stress considerations, and design validation.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes, perform testing, troubleshoot issues, and implement design improvements.
• Provide mechanical design expertise and technical input to support projects led by other engineers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to solve complex technical problems.
• Document engineering designs, revisions, and test results.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
