Job summary

  • Identify and resolve technical issues during testing.
  • Stay updated on safety codes and hydrogen testing standards.
  • Promote adherence to safety protocols in the testing area.

About the Role

The Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely execution of all testing. This includes conducting high-pressure tests on various components, equipment, and systems to ensure they meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

This role requires a strong understanding of high-pressure testing procedures, equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols. The engineer will work closely with R&D and quality control teams to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Define preventive maintenance plans and perform routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
  • Manage the definition/installation of new test equipment and upgrades to existing test equipment
  • Inspect and verify the integrity of components before and after testing
  • Responsible for the definition and maintenance of testing procedures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests performed, including pressure levels, duration, and results
  • Identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during testing processes
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations, codes, and standards related to high-pressure and Hydrogen testing
  • Establish and promote adherence safety protocols for use in the testing area
About You
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in high-pressure testing or a related field
  • Familiarity with high-pressure testing equipment and systems
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds)
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces if required
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
