Job summary

Magna Cosma International is seeking a Die Casting Maintenance Technician in Birmingham, AL to maintain HPDC production equipment and related systems. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot diverse failures, and support start-ups and improvements across tooling, process, and automation teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, and ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; technical diploma or certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally automotive-related.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HPDC machines and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automation failures.
• Inspect and repair components to maintain performance and production capability.
• Support equipment installations, commissioning, and start-ups; participate in root-cause analysis.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS; track downtime and spare parts usage.
• Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards during maintenance activities.
