Job summary

Magna is seeking a Die Casting Maintenance Technician to uphold reliability and uptime for HPDC production equipment and auxiliaries in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, and support automation, die changes, and start-ups. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve OEE and ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing; automotive/die casting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and OEM manuals.
• Experience with CMMS, process improvement and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HPDC machines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automation failures.
• Support equipment installations, start-ups, die changes, and process optimizations.
• Assist with PM programs, RCA, FMEA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS and participate in TPM/5S activities.
