Job summary

Magna Cosma International in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Machining & Heat Treatment Maintenance Technician to sustain the reliability and performance of machining centers, heat treatment equipment, and supporting production systems in a high-pressure die casting facility.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation failures, and collaborate with multiple teams to minimize downtime and improve OEE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical diploma or certification preferred.
• Minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC machining, heat treatment, or automation preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CNC machining centers and heat treatment equipment to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot CNC controls, PLCs, servo drives, and HMIs.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Inspect, repair, replace, and adjust machine components.
• Document maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
• Support TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
