The Nassau County Sheriff's Office in Florida seeks a 911 Telecommunications Officer/Dispatcher to receive and transmit non-emergency and 911 calls, perform public safety communications, and support law enforcement, fire/rescue and other agencies.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and, preferably, Florida 911 Certification; must pass a computer-based aptitude test and complete required 911 Certification Training and state exam within one year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, minimum age 18.
• Florida 911 Certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass computer-based aptitude testing.
• Complete 911 Certification Training and pass state exam within 1 year.

Responsabilités

• Receive and transmit non-emergency and 911 calls for public safety.
• Interact professionally with law enforcement, fire/rescue and the public.
• Work under time pressure with accuracy and discretion.
• Operate computer systems and radio communications for multiple agencies.
