Ashton North LLC in Big Bend, WI is seeking a CNC Setup Machinist for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM) on a 4-day work week. This direct-hire role offers a competitive $33/hr base, plus a generous 2nd shift premium and comprehensive benefits.

You'll independently set up multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers, edit G&M codes, adjust tooling/offsets, and inspect close-tolerance parts in a clean, 5S facility serving aerospace, defense and medical markets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional CNC machining experience with at least 1 year of independent setups on CNC mills or lathes.
• Fluency reading blueprints, interpreting G&M codes, and applying GD&T fundamentals.
• Proficiency with precision hand measurement tools and inspection equipment to verify close-tolerance features.
• Must be ready for a permanent 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM).
• US citizenship or Green Card holder residing within daily driving distance of Big Bend, WI.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent machine setups and operations on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
• Adjust tool offsets, set up workholding fixtures, and replace tooling to maintain tight tolerances.
• Inspect close-tolerance parts using calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Interpret complex blueprints and apply G&M code adjustments with GD&T.
• Troubleshoot and optimize the cell to improve cycle times and maintain flow.
• Maintain a clean, 5S-compliant machining station.
