Direct-hire at a high-tech precision manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, and medical markets in a 5S, climate-controlled facility. The role involves independent setups on multi-axis CNC mills/turning centers, tooling/offset management, and tight-tolerance part inspection.

Qualifications

• 2+ years professional CNC machining experience with at least 1 year independent setups on CNC mills or lathes.
• Fluency reading blueprints, interpreting G&M codes, and applying GD&T fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Perform Independent Setups: Execute complete, independent machine setups and operations on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
• Tooling & Offsets Management: Adjust tool page offsets, establish work holding fixtures, and replace cutting tooling to maintain tight production tolerances.
• Precision Part Inspection: Inspect close-tolerance components using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, height gauges, and custom precision tooling.
• Blueprint & Code Execution: Interpret complex engineering blueprints, apply G&M code adjustments, and utilize GD&T principles to ensure full part integrity.
• Troubleshoot & Optimize Cell: Investigate and resolve mechanical or program-related deviations on 2nd shift to optimize cycle times and maintain smooth production flow.
• Maintain Cell Standards: Keep a clean, meticulously organized, safe, and 5S-compliant machining station.
