Markent Personnel is seeking a CNC Setup Machinist for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM) in the Big Bend, WI area. The role focuses on independent setups of multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers, stringent tolerances, and a clean 5S environment.

Earn up to $33.00/hr with a strong 2nd shift premium, guaranteed weekends off, and full benefits through direct-hire with a growing precision manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, and medical markets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional CNC machining with at least 1 year of independent setups on mills or lathes.
• Fluency reading blueprints, interpreting G/M codes, and applying GD&T fundamentals.
• Proficient with precision hand tools, gauges, and inspection equipment for close-tolerance features.
• Committed to 2nd shift: Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent setups on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
• Manage tooling, offsets, fixtures, and tooling changes to maintain tolerances.
• Inspect close-tolerance parts using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Interpret blueprints, apply GD&T, and adjust G/M codes for part integrity.
• Troubleshoot deviations on 2nd shift to optimize cycles and flow.
• Maintain a clean, 5S-compliant machining cell.
