Job summary

Deloitte Tax LLP is seeking a Tax Manager for its High Net Worth team to lead complex individual tax engagements and advise high-net-worth clients and their advisors. This role emphasizes client service, relationship management, and delivery leadership across multiple deadlines.

You will coach tax professionals, manage timelines and budgets, and collaborate with engagement leaders to deliver high-quality outcomes and practical tax guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in individual tax compliance and planning with HNW exposure.
• Strong knowledge of high-net-worth taxation and complex gift/estate returns.
• Proven ability to advise clients and build trusted advisor relationships.
• Experience leading complex tax engagements, coordinating teams and deadlines.
• Ability to travel up to 5% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for high-net-worth individuals and advisors.
• Lead tax compliance and advisory engagements involving complex income tax matters.
• Review returns, identify issues, and coordinate with specialists.
• Build client relationships through clear, responsive service.
• Translate complex tax matters into practical client recommendations.
• Coach and develop tax professionals across deadlines.
• Manage engagement timelines, priorities, resources, and budgets.
• Collaborate with leaders to resolve issues and ensure a consistent client experience.
