Job summary

Deloitte Tax LLP is seeking a Tax Manager for its Individual Tax Services - High Net Worth group in Seattle. You will lead tax engagements for wealthy clients, review returns, and coach staff to deliver high-quality results.

The role emphasizes trusted advisor relationships, clear client communication, and collaboration with specialists to manage risks and timelines. Travel up to 5% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or other relevant degree
• 5+ years of experience in individual tax compliance and planning with high-net-worth exposure
• Strong knowledge of high-net-worth taxation and reviewing complex returns
• Ability to serve as trusted client advisor and communicate complex tax matters clearly
• Experience leading complex tax engagements and coordinating teams
• Ability to travel up to 5% on average
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Active accreditation: CPA, Attorney or Enrolled Agent (or eligible)

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor and primary contact for high-net-worth individuals and their advisors
• Lead tax compliance and advisory engagements involving complex individual income tax matters
• Review individual tax returns and related deliverables and coordinate with specialists
• Build strong client relationships through clear, thoughtful communication and responsive service
• Translate complex tax matters into practical recommendations for clients and their advisors
• Lead and develop tax professionals by coaching, reviewing work, and coordinating assignments
• Manage engagement timelines, priorities, resources, and budgets for high-quality outcomes
• Collaborate with engagement leaders to resolve issues and deliver a consistent client experience
