Job summary

Talbot County Public Schools POOL in Easton, Maryland is seeking a part-time Tutor to provide high-dosage tutoring in reading or math with an immediate start date. The role reports to the Principal and offers a contract position with pay starting at $30 per hour.

Responsibilities include delivering small-group instruction, collecting progress data, coordinating with school leaders to ensure program quality, and participating in ongoing professional learning. MD teacher certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or ParaPro certification required.
• Maryland teacher certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement appropriate individual and/or small group tutoring in reading or mathematics using approved tutoring program materials.
• Collect required data for assigned tutoring program to monitor student progress.
• Work with school-based leaders and curriculum supervisors to ensure the quality of program implementation.
• Participate in professional learning as needed for effective program implementation.
• Demonstrate caring, emphatic, relationship building skills to foster student success.
• Adhere to all TCPS policies and procedures as well as school protocols.
• Act in a professional and collegial manner in all situations with students and staff.
