Job summary

FedEx Freight in Conroe, TX seeks a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to direct maintenance personnel, oversee equipment readiness, and support operations with timely repairs. You will plan daily staffing, monitor performance, control costs, and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of vehicle maintenance experience with at least 6 months in a lead/supervisory role.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission truck.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations preferred.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Multi-tasked oriented with good organizational skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office and Internet skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees.
• Ensure equipment repairs are completed with high quality and timeliness.
• Monitor employee performance and provide corrective action.
• Plan daily staffing to meet workload.
• Support Operations team on equipment-related issues.
• Monitor and analyze opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
• Perform payroll approval, repair order maintenance and compliance documentation.
• Ensure clean, safe working conditions of facility and equipment.
• Communicate with Fleet Maintenance leadership to meet needs.
• Identify equipment sent to outside vendors for repairs.
• Order parts needed to maintain shop needs.
• Conduct pre-shift and weekly Operations meetings.
• Collaborate with Safety and other departments on safety matters.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
