Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Houston is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform timely preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair the fleet and ground support equipment. You will document work and manage inventory using FedEx systems, ensuring OSHA and DOT compliance.

You will lead and mentor technicians and trainees, occasionally performing modifications, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational automotive training preferred.
• ASE Master certification preferred.
• 4 years fleet/auto repair experience required.
• Welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on the FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment.
• Document work and maintain inventory using FedEx computer systems.
• Ensure work complies with OSHA and DOT standards.
• Guide and support a staff of technicians and trainees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
