Job summary

B’nai Jeshurun NYC in New York City seeks a Venue Manager for its Family High Holy Day Services, a seasonal contractor role from July to September 2026. You’ll oversee logistics, staffing, and vendor coordination across two venues, using the existing playbook to deliver seamless, meaningful services.

You will lead on-site operations, conduct walkthroughs, and work with clergy and staff to align day-of activities, with a fixed 9-week engagement ending Sept 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience coordinating large-scale, complex events.
• Comfort jumping into an established system/playbook and iterating.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations for Family High Holy Day Services across Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
• Manage multi-site logistics across venues (JCC Manhattan → BJ Main Campus → JCC Manhattan).
• Coordinate vendor, staff, and sound engineers; ensure site readiness.
• Perform pre-event walkthroughs and post-season debriefs.
• Serve as on-site point of contact for real-time troubleshooting.
