Job summary

The-Deck in San Diego, CA is seeking a friendly server to provide food and beverage service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You will manage opening and closing duties and maintain positive relationships with coworkers while delivering warm, professional service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant/bar.
• Must be at least 21 to serve alcohol in California.
• Food Handlers Card preferred; ABC Service Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests food and beverage service in server’s section quickly and professionally.
• Exceed service standards while following management direction.
• Describe all offerings and specials accurately.
• Take accurate orders and suggest menu items to maximize sales.
• Maintain clean stations and complete side-work on time.
• Accurately operate the POS system and handle cash per policy.
• Comply with ABC laws and company policies on serving alcohol.
