Job summary

The Deck in San Diego is seeking a friendly, professional server to provide guests with food and beverage service in a fast-paced setting. You will quickly attend to guests in your section with a warm, accommodating manner.

You will also complete opening and closing duties, maintain a positive energy, and ensure compliance with ABC laws and company policies while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Must be 21+ with California serving certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant/bar.
• Must be at least 21 to meet minimum age requirement of CA to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Food Handlers Card or ABC Certification preferred.
• CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with food and beverage service in server’s section in a quick, professional, and efficient manner.
• Take accurate orders while maximizing sales using selling techniques and product knowledge.
• Greet guests and address questions/concerns in a warm, professional manner.
• Maintain proper side-work, station setup, and overall cleanliness.
• Follow cash handling procedures and POS operations accurately.
• Ensure service is compliant with ABC laws and company policies.
