AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Cook at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH. This full-time role includes Sunday 9:00 AM–7:30 PM and Monday–Thursday 12:15 PM–8:15 PM, with Fridays and Saturdays off.

The candidate will prepare ingredients, cook meals, and ensure a clean, sanitary kitchen while delivering a pleasant dining experience for customers. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of cooking experience, strong food safety knowledge, and the ability to present dishes attractively.

Qualifications

• 2+ years cooking experience including food preparation.
• Knowledge of cooking methods and safety practices.
• Ability to present food attractively.
• Experience with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Strong work ethic and high energy level.

Responsibilities

• Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Assemble, cook ingredients and complete hot and cold meals.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen and proper food handling.
• Attend to the detail and presentation of each order.
• Place and expedite orders.
• Prepare ingredients by following recipes and preparing ingredients as directed.
• Complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling, and assemble refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
• Store leftovers according to established standards.
• Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus with the team.
