PopStroke is hiring a Cook for a high-volume kitchen in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare food quickly and safely, following standards and portion controls. Collaborative teamwork, strong communication, and a focus on cleanliness are essential for guest satisfaction.

Must be able to work weekends/holidays and lift up to 40 lbs. Pay rate ranges from $18 to $24 per hour, and the role is non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest quality of culinary services for our guests.
• Prepare food quickly, safely, and in line with standards.
• Follow portion controls to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
• Utilize technology to recognize and complete food ticket orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management and notify shortages.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Assist with dishwashing and prep duties as needed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures and execute opening/closing procedures.
• Remove trash and maintain the trash compactor area.
• Other duties as assigned.
